The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them. Mark Twain

Outdoor Photographer
I first bought this magazine out of curiosity because it had an article that I was interested in. When I started turning the pages, I realized I would not be able to go without it and since then it has been on my shopping list every month. On its list of collaborators are some of the biggest names of nature and travel photography such as Frans Lanting, Bob Krist, William Neil, and the late Galen Rowell, so the quality of its articles comes as no surprise. www.outdoorphotographer.com![]()
National Geographic
This magazine needs no presentation. Since the beginning of last century it has taken its readers to the edge of the world, to places where many people never even dreamed that it was possible to go. And always with photographs of such quality that to photograph for National Geographic has become a high point in every photographer’s curriculum. www.nationalgeographic.com![]()
Edge of the Earth, Corner of the Sky
This book, although it’s not a technical book, can inspire any person, even if that person is not interested in photography. It is the result of the work of several years of renowned photographer Art Wolfe, and shows in an almost surreal way the overwhelming beauty that still exists in our world today. It is, beyond any doubt, a book that will always give me pleasure to look at. www.amazon.com![]()
Spirit of Place
One of the greatest photographic challenges when travelling is to capture images that make us feel what it means to be in a certain place. It is this feeling that Bob Krist, one of the editors of National Geographic Traveller magazine, calls “spirit of place”. In this book, he shares with us some of the best ways to capture it. www.amazon.com![]()
Color and Light in Nature
One of the most common problems every nature photographer has to face is the unpredictability of light. In order to try and understand better the way light behaves in nature, I bought this book after seeing it recommended on photographer Galen Rowell’s web site. It’s a physics book, and not a photography book, but the simplicity with which the phenomena are explained, makes it an invaluable companion to every photographer. www.amazon.com |
